Photoshop fun- Part Two

I haven't done this in a while so I thought I'd revist one of my favorite pastimes; photoshoping photos. Most of the time, I use photoshop to edit my photos. I use it to crop, color balance or sharpening stuff I've taken for the blog, myself or a client.

Anyway, earlier this summer when I got back into collecting I thought it would be cool to make business cards for myself in the form of baseball cards. Like maybe an "In Action" sort of card, but with me eating a hot dog in the stadium upper deck or standing on the sideline with my cameras around my neck. You know, sort of a ironic take on an action shot.

I never really got around to doing those cards, I guess yard work and various home improvement stuff took over my summer days and when I finally got back into playing around with the designs, I basically just decided to insert myself into some cards that I thought looked cool.

I need to come up with a nickname for this one.

My first go around with collecting was in the late '70's and early '80's so that's the era I borrowed from in my creations.

I couldn't help but try to put myself in the shoes of a legendary sideburns.. I mean player.

Really the hardest thing for me was to try and pose myself in such a way that it would fit the player's body. I really need to recruit someone to help me out with this next time. I think I spent more time trying to photograph myself in the right position than I did with the photo editing.

Anyway, that's all for now. Maybe some other time I finish some actual "home-made" cards to show off.

haha! those are awesome! no matter how long you've been using photoshop, there's nothing more fun that putting your face on things.

"Clueless" Joe might be my favorite.

Thanks! I agree, it's really fun to insert yourself into random photos.

I came up with the nickname "Clueless Joe" because it's one of my favorite put downs for my friends and family.
