Trade with the Dutch Card Guy

I received a nice trade package from Jeroen the Dutch Card Guy in the mail a while ago. It's always fun to get something in the mail. I was out of town when the package came so it was nice to sit down and relax and go through some nice cards.

It was a nice, big stack of 2011 Allen and Ginter base cards. I'm determined to finish this set one of these days. Not so determined that I don't get sidetracked with vintage from time to time, but still some what determined.

Having good trade partners helps a lot. Let's see what he sent over.

Since Johan has been in the news a lot lately, we'll start off with him. He received the horizontal action shot treatment in this card rather than the vertical posed shot. He deserves a nice action shot card.

Another cool action shot is of Kurt Suzuki with a play at the plate card. Looks like he's punching him in the face. Nice!

A post from me wouldn't be complete without a couple of cards featuring some Oklahoma players.

Matt Holliday and Matt Kemp.

Amy Mullins was a paraolympic sprinter and a champion softball player in high school. She is currently a model and motivational speaker. She is also a double amputee. An interesting note; she can change her height based on with prosthetic legs she is using. Very interesting addition to the Allen and Ginter checklist. They need to include more of these types of people rather than the reality and TV show personality types.

And this dude was famous for being the "King of Cornhole" for 6 years straight. According to the card back Cornholing is basically a bean bag toss. I had a different assumption before reading the description.

Thanks for the cards, Jeroen! I hope we can trade again sometime.
